When Christians Spend Time on Their Knees
Today’s Thought: When Christians spend time on their knees praying, they are on their feet. Bishop C. L. Hardy
Today’s Prayer and Scripture (1): (Hezekiah – for deliverance (2 Kings 19:15-19) And Hezekiah prayed before the Lord and said, “O Lord, the God of Israel, who art enthroned above the cherubim, Thou art the God, Thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth. Thou hast made heaven and earth. Incline Thine ear, O Lord, and hear; open Thine eyes, O Lord, and see; and listen to the words of Sennacherib, which he has sent to reproach the living God. Truly, O Lord, the kings of Assyria have devastated the nations and their lands and have cast their gods into the fire, for they were not gods but the work of men’s hands, wood and stone. So they have destroyed them. And now, O Lord our God, I pray, deliver us from his hand that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that Thou alone, O Lord, art God.” (Amen)
Today’s Prayer and Scripture (2): Hezekiah – for health (2 Kings 20:3) “Remember now, O Lord, I beseech Thee, how I have walked before Thee in truth and with a whole heart, and have done what is good in Thy sight.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly. (Amen)
Today’s Prayer and Scripture (3):Holy Spirit – for us when we don’t know how to pray (Romans 8:26) And in the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.” (Amen)
Finally: Whatever you are encountering today…understand that you are not encountering it along…God is with you and will not leave you nor forsake you. His anointing abides with you to undertake for you and to protect you. Have a very blessed day in the Lord. Thanks for being a part of my devotion.
