Quiet Time With The Lord

Today’s thought: Your reputation is largely contingent upon what others think of you; your character is largely contingent upon what you think of yourself. For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Proverbs 23:7a. Bishop C. L. Hardy

Today’s Prayer:  O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah.
9  Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed. 10  For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. 11  For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. 12  O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee. Psalm 84:8-12. Give us joy for sadness, hope for tomorrow, and give us the mindset to help make someone’s day a delightful experience. God bless America.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Scripture: Daniel 6:3-4 (KJV) Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm. 4  Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him.

Finally: Normally one can’t control his reputation; however, one can usually control his character. Therefore, one’s character should carry more weight than one’s reputation.
